I have a 4.0d machine that I will be upgrading and need to move some Oracle
data to new disks. I have created a new raid5 set on the hsz70 and I would
like to do an addvol using this newly created raidset. I would then like to
remove the old disks by doing a rmvol.
Sounds easy and I have done this in the past and it has worked great. The
problem I have with this machine is it is using LSM volumes and then the
volumes were created into advfs domains.
As part of the upgrade I would like to remove the LSM volumes and just use
advfs. That is the reason I would like to do an addvol, using the new disks,
and then do an rmvol to remove the old LSM disks.
Does anyone see or know of a problem with doing this?
Thanks
