EMC vs Compaq Disk Storage Solution

We are considering migrating from EMC Symmetrix disk to a Compaq MA8000
disk storage solution. Does anyone have any input they could offer
pertaining to either vendor as to the performance, reliability, cost,
conversion effort, etc in this regard that would help us make a more
informed decision ??
