help with tru64 with Ma8000

hello,

I have a Ma800 with 8 port FC switch, all compaq. currently a sun system
is
attached and working well with this set up.
I put a HBA in a compaq 2100 running TRu5.1A and hooked it
up to the switch...only get an orange light, not green.
card seems ok, the lights a stedy green and slow blinking green ( no
link up).
I have swapped cables and ports with the sun system and get the same
problem.
the HSG80does not see the new connection.

any tips on trouble shooting FC connectivity? anything to do on
the tru64 system (fc drivers are built in).
