NIS Callback Time Out

This is in relation to my RPC timeout error.

Upon further investigation, I discovered that my linux NIS master was
timing out when it attempted to push any updated maps to ANY NIS Slave
machine. I have 1 TRU64 4.0F slave, and another NIS slave. Yes, I did
isolate them & try to push to each one eclusively, but the results were
the same.

Here's what happens:

A change is made to and file.
cd /var/yp/
make

updating ypservers....
Then I get Callback Time out errors for each machine listed in the
ypservers file, for each map that is pushed.

Yet, the update is successful! But it takes forever for the Make program
to complete, even if it's only one line of code in 1 file.

Any help is appreciated.
