Hello!

The machine is an upgraded 3000-500 ->800 ->700 ->900 as far as I've been
told; the cabinett is similar to aome retired 500s.

I'm pretty sure I've upgraded with new firmware before, but now when I try
to update with Compaq's FW CD's v5.9 or v5.7 I get this message:

>>> b dka400
..
             (x = 3 for 300/300x/300L/300XL
                = 4 for 400/600/700
                = 5 for 500/500x/800/900 )
..
The default bootfile for this platform is

        [DEC3000]M500_V7_0.EXE
..

I have an hardware reference manual for a desktop 3000 modell 600 refering
to the place - but no od - of the correct jumper, but these machines seems
pretty different?

I have not been able to track down the hw manual for the 700's on the net
and neeed to know the label - or placement of this jumper!
