Hello managers...

My system :
Server 1- Compaq ES40 * 4 GB RAM * 2 667 CPU
Server 2- Compaq ES40 * 6 GB RAM * 2 667 CPU

MA8000 shared storage with 400 GB ( 15 K rpm DISKS ) capacity, dual HSG80
controller with 256 MB cache
SAN switch , full duplex fiber cables

I am trying to get physical backup of my Oracle on Server 1... I firstly
copy oracle files to backup disks, than to my DLT tape.

But 70 GB data backup takes 40 minutes to copy from *disk to disk* !!! (TOO
SLOW)
for the same data , It takes appproximately 2 hours to copy to DLT tape
drive (with vdump) ...Isnt it a strange performance... (ethier my DLT tape
drive too fast or there is a problem with my disks....? )

backup disks are RAID 0 (the fastest ...) (advFs)
oracle data is lied on RAID 0+1 (advFs)

According to above values : my disk Write speed is ~30 MByte / sec ...

IS my disks are slow or this is normal ???
