After running into various problems with ADVFS, I am attempting to create a filesyste, using ufs. I cannot work out how to calculate the inode figure (-i) fror the newfs command. The available disk is 26Gb in a RAID5 stripe, and I need to be able to store 10-15 MILLION files on the filesystem. Each file is no more between 8 and 12K in size. I could really use some sort of formula to work out projected inode usage if such a thing exists. The man pages for newfs are a bit vague to say the least! OS is 4.0F
Thanks,
Bryan Mills
