Hello,
Is it possible to resize a partition without destroying the
data on that partition? An es40 with tru64 unix 5.1 installed
from factory arrived with a partition of 12 GB for swap and
just 2 GB for usr. I would like to decrease the size of the
swap partition and increase a bit the usr partition, so is it
possible to do that without installing tru64 unix again?
Well, I think is still another possibility which would be to
decrease the swap partition which would leave some free space
to create a new partition and then add that partition to the
usr_domain (yes I'm using advfs) but I found another problem
trying to do this, how do I disable the swap partition? the
system, of course, does not allow me to resize/modify a
partition which is currently in use. The swapon command just
speak about set a new partition as swap but I didn't find a
"swapoff" command..
Thanks in advance.
