Thanks to everyone who responded. Lots of great responses but now my
servers are nuts and my limbs are being torn apart so I don't have time
to do a full summary.

Basically the question I asked is how to set a AS2000 running 4.0g with
a DE435-AA nic to full-duplex Twisted-Pair.

The DE435 will NOT run FAST or 100Mbit or Auto-Neg etc, it will not run
either 100 half-duplex or 100 Full-Duplex

What worked:
>From srm prompt >>> set ewa0_mode Full

other options were Twisted-Pair, AUI, BNC, FastFD (Fast Full Duplex),
Fast, Auto-Nego

If you aren't sure just type >>> set ewa0_mode
and it will prompt with options to be used.

You can set it in the rc.conf or rc.local or whatever is out there. Do a
man ifconfig for options.

Thanks for all the help, now I got a fire to put out.
