Hello Sys Admins,
I received one reply directly addressing my question.
Thanks to Steve VanDevender for his information. He has not found
it necessary to rebuild stuff after upgrading to the latest patch
kit, as long as he took the required steps to preserve his locally-
built versions from being overwritten.
I was worried that previously compiled binaries of local versions
of sendmail and bind would fail to work correctly (maybe in very
subtle ways) after a patch upgrade, forcing me to re-build those
apps from scratch. Thanks very much for your input, Steve.
