web server using virtual hostname stops responding

We have a problem with a web server running on a DS20
with Tru64 V5.1. It is running the Oracle ias9i web server
which is Apache based.

About once a day, sometimes more, the web server just stops
responding. Stopping and restarting the web server does not
fix the problem. So far, the only way to fix the problem
is to reboot the DS20. A reboot usually fixes the problem
and the web server works again.

The DS20 has a second IP address for a virtual hostname.
The web server uses the virtual hostname. When the web server
stops, the second IP address also does not respond to ping
and ssh.

The DS20 has plenty of free memory and disk space. It is only
being used to run the web server. The load on the web server
is very light.

Does anybody have suggestions for places to look for the source
of the problem?

Thanks,

Mike Taylor
