Thanks to all who responded, it is kinda weird and we kept getting SCSI Bus
was reset on this but it seems that the problem was due to a corrupt domain.
I rebuilt the domain and restored from tape and it seems to be working now.

Admins,
For some reason my var_domain keeps going away, the box does not
crash however it seems the var domain is still visible yet I try to cd to it
and I get permission denied. I tried running advscan against the domain in
single user mode and I got the followning :
#./advscan var_domain
Scanning device rvar_domain
Can't open device rvar_domaina
I have no core or crash files to work with and this is the only thing in
/var/adm/messages (after I rebooted):
