Hello Admin Wizards,
slightly offtopic maybe but since the question concerns a dedicated OSF/1 /
True64 controller, it might be answerable anyway.
In my raid storage I have a raid set r0 concerning of 6 disks and two spare
disks.
Using the very sophisticated howto of Bob Morningstar
(
http://www.uni-koeln.de/RRZK/systeme/dec/DEC-MANAGERS/1997/November-html/ms
g00066.html I got along to the point "add unit".
The controller has SCSI ID 7.
The cfmenu utility shows me that i have the raidset r0 with its 6 members
disk100 - disk600 and the two spares disk110 and 210. The r0 is initialized.
But now, if i issue the add unit command like
add unit d100 r0 (as recommended in the howto) I get the error message
"invalid unit number. Valid unit numbers are:"
Alas, the promised hints dont come up.
As always, I think I miss the obvious.
A hint or two would be highly appreciated ... thank you.
