Hello managers
I have recently procured two B2040-BA AS2000 5/300 CPUs to upgrade my AS2000
4/233, however I've fallen at the first hurdle as the machine will not
restart (CPU 0 will not start). I've tried swapping over to check cpu0 is
not faulty.
I've been doing some digging and found this little snippet in the options
catalogue:
---------
To upgrade AlphaServer 2000 4/2xx systems with serial number(s) xx515xxxxxx
or lower to a 4/275, 5/250, or 5/300 CPU, order a
BA720-UA AlphaServer 2000 Enclosure EMC Upgrade Kit (at no charge) along
with the CPU upgrade.
---------
It seems we may be missing this essential part. Does anybody know what the
correct procedure is for this type of CPU upgrade and what is the "Enclosure
upgrade kit" is this hardware / software / docs ?
Regards
Dave
