Hi Admin Wizards,
I got a somewhat used little cluster from our Information Services
Department to replace our stoneaged Alpha1000 as a main server.
The System consists of 2 x Alpha 1000/333 / DigitalUnix 4.0f and an
external Raid Set with a Set of 6x4GB Disks as RAID 5 and 2 4GB Disks as
Hot spares on a HSZ40 Controller.
The set should remain completely unchanged except for the system names -
and obviously, just doing the ordinary netconfig and/or changes in hosts,
routes and rc.local dont affect the ASE positively: The cluster still tries
to start with the old member names.
A try to start asemgr results in error message "no contact to agent" . The
ClusterMonitor shows that the System still waits for the old member names
in the old cluster net.
Can I change the /etc/CCM file manually and just replace the IPs and Names
by hand, or is there a tool IŽd better use (since asemgr wont run...) ?
Thanx
YS, CW
