UPDATE: AdvFS performance

More information is now available on this - application is reading files in
32K chunks from within Oracle. Oracle's DBMS_LOB.READ function gets these
files from the AdvFS filesystem - balanced and defragmented.

Usual response times are around 1 second. Evey hour or so a couple of
requests take 15 or more seconds to complete. No syslog, binary errorlog
errors, IO, CPU or memory consumption spikes. I tried to use advfsstat but
the output is not specific and I do not know what I am looking for.

HSG80 is set to max_cached_transfer_size of 256, AdvFS kernel parms to
CPQ/Oracle recommendations.

Any thought or similar problems?

Thanks
Alex Gorbachev
