Hi folks, here's the situation:

I have a TLZ7 tape drive with an auto loader on it. This drive has
worked flawlesly from versions 4.d on. I recently upgraded to 5.0a
with patch kit 3. The system would not recognize the drive. After
spending serveral hours with Compaq, I had to load a new version
of firmware to the tape drive itself.

Now the drive works, however, it doesn't hold nearly as much data
as it used to! According to the lights on the front of the tape
unit, the TLZ7 is using data compression.

As for the device names I've tried:

/dev/rmt2h
/dev/tape/tape2_d1
/dev/tape/tape2c

All of them now prompte me for a second volumn using the same tapes and
same amount of data prior to loading 5.0a.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Joe
