YP can't bind to domain

Tru64 Managers:

I'm trying to understand why I kept getting this message when trying to
reboot a node:
        " inetd: YP can't bind to domain arc.mcdermott.com "

The system took probably 4 times longer to boot up, and login as root at the
console (X) took 10-15 minutes.

Environment:
Two ES40's clusters with Tru64 5.1
One ES40 had crashed with a memory pool corruption.
I powered down and then restarted the crashed node.
The node seemed to come up, but very slowly, and with the error repeated
over and over.

At the same time, there was a message, something to the effect of SIGHUP
sent to inetd.

The system never seemed to fully come up "right" -- so I shutdown both nodes
of this two-node cluster, then restarted them in sequence, without further
issues.

Thanks in advance, for any insights you can provide.
