We are having problems with gated daemon on our clustered servers advertising
routes through it's memory channel for local addresses, which causes all sorts
of connectivity problems. The problems seems to lie around the
/etc/gated.conf.xxx files.
The standard /gated.conf appears to be set correctly, with RIP set in Quiet
Mode. The /etc/gated.conf.member1 appears to be set to broadcast over ethernet,
a private FDDI ring and memory channel. The /etc/gated.conf.member2 is set to
broadcast over FDDI and memory channel only. The comment section of these two
files states that they are created by aliasd and that we should not edit them.
Any ideas how we can resolve this problem?
Thanks,
Dave
