UPS Serial port

All,

I've connected a UPS to our ES40 server and installed CheckUPS 11 monitoring
software. The UPS is monitored through a cable connection to the 9 pin
serial port on the back of the server, however during configuration you have
to specify the device name for this serial port. If I take the default
(/dev/tty00) it can't see the UPS and the same applies if I enter the
recommened device name from the installation notes (/dev/tty1b), this
doesn't exist !

Can anyone advise how I can establish the exact device name for the 9 pin
serial port on the ES40 ?

These are the options :-

[canada]/dev $ ls tty*
tty ttyp1 ttyp5 ttyp9 ttypd ttyq1 ttyq5 ttyq9 ttyqd
tty00 ttyp2 ttyp6 ttypa ttype ttyq2 ttyq6 ttyqa ttyqe
tty01 ttyp3 ttyp7 ttypb ttypf ttyq3 ttyq7 ttyqb ttyqf
ttyp0 ttyp4 ttyp8 ttypc ttyq0 ttyq4 ttyq8 ttyqc

Regards,
Mike
