Postfix in a TruCluster?

Hi,

I'm testing postfix in a Tru64 UNIX cluster. I've done some testing and
it's working great. However I'm concerned there may be problems with file
locking in the mail spool...

The cluster has two members, with a shared filesystem. Postfix is
installed and running on both.

/var/spool/postfix

..is a CDSL sybolic link which resolves to different directories for each
cluster member. So any of the postfix queue files are safe from any
locking issues as they are in different places.

However both clusters share the /var/spool/mail directory. What is to
prevent postfix on member1 from writing to a users maildrop at the same
time postfix on member2 is doing the same?

Anybody know what locking mechanism postfix uses? flock?

Also I've been trying to simulate this scenario by connecting to each
member, and manually delivering a large message to the same user. However
the timings never syncronise, so I can't sure they are reproducing a
the situation I want. Any ideas how to test this ?

Any feedback appreciated,

Thanks

Paul
