[SUMMARY] 4.0F -> 5.1 or 5.1a.

I was asking about the recommended upgrade path to get from 4.0F to
5.1 or 5.1a.

Thanks to John Tan, Mike Johnson, Pat O'Brien, Mandell Degerness and
Bryan Whiting for their replies.

It seems like:

   The safest upgrade option is through 4.0G: 4.0F -> 4.0G -> 5.1

   It's generally better to do a fresh install

   There are problems with migrating C2 between 4.0F and 5.1 or 5.1a

   There are some traps with LSM (read the documentation).

The box I've been asked to upgrade is running BASE security and isn't
using LSM but nevertheless a fresh install looks like the best option.
