special files

Dear All,

I have removed the special file for the cdrom1 devices in the directory
/dev/disk/,
cdrom1a. When the system is booting I get an error cause the file for cdrom1
is
missing and the system is going to single user mode.
How can I create the special files ? /dev/MAKEDEV has no entry for cdrom.

OS-Version is 5.1.
