thanks for the fast responses!
I present the cutout of these texts here:

"You power off the system, remove the tape drive, put in a tape
drive that
does not have a broken tape stuck in it, then you either send the
drive
with the broken tape to Compaq to have it serviced... As far as I
know, this is
NOT a "user repairable" fault."

"This is very unusual to happen, but you'll have to take apart the
tape
drive to remove the tape. Frankly, this is best done by a qualified
hardware service technician..."
Peter Reynolds wrote:
"The simple answer is that if the tape is jammed in the workings of
the
drive, the drive will need replacing. It needs completely taking
apart to
free a jammed tape. If the tape is just broken, it should eject as
normal. "
also thanks the ideas for Hannes and Joe Fletcher :)
finally the drive spited out the damaged tape - with active
assistance of our technicians. they just poked the mechanics of
the powered driver.... and it dropped the tape.
I'm absolutely sure THIS IS NOT THE BEST SOLUTION!!! :)
