SUMMARY: Strange behavior from /var/adm/messages

Thanks to alan_at_nabeth.cxo.cpqcorp.net <mailto:alan_at_nabeth.cxo.cpqcorp.net> ,
Scott Rogers, Pat O'brien, Dr. Thomas Blinn, Mandell Degerness, and Thierry
Faidherbe for their responses. It seems that everyone's suggestion is the
same, increase the message buffer size (generic: msgbuf_size). This is
currently set to 4096, will be changing to 32768, however I will not be able
to check this until I can reboot.

Thanks again,

CB

I have a alpha 8400 4.0D pk. #5, when the system is booted, not all
of the startup info is present, I see the nic cards and cpus but I do not
see any HSZ or rz info. I check syslog.conf and everything looks ok. Any
Ideas?

TIA,
