The WINNER is Raul Sossa --- Thanks a million Raul!

Raul helped us with a paper published by TUSC www.tusc.com named "Oracle
Parallel Server on Compaq Tru64 Unix using Cluster File Systems".

On page 11 of the TUSC document it states the following:
"Be sure not to select additional nodes during the installation process.
This will cause the installer to try to remotely copy the Oracle
installation directory to another node. This is slow and may not be needed
(it crashed our installation with a coredump ed.) in your configuration."

Also thanks to Stephane Branchoux, Corinne Haesaerts, and Binkley Robert for
sending additional information.

Wishing you all the best,

Subject: T64 5.1a upgrade (2) node Oracle 8.1.7 JRE install failure

Greetings Tru64 Managers -

We have installed Tru64 5.1a on a (2)node GS/140 cluster. All is well with
the OS we think..
Unfortunately, when we try to install Oracle 8.1.7 (with OPS and all the
features) JRE fails and coredumps. This is preventing Oracle from
installing correctly.

Has anyone else on the list had this problem?

Thank you,
