Hello Managers
I think I may have found a fault with PK4 for V5.1 it seems to break
vrestore.
After applying PK4 vrestore will not restore from the NON rewind device.
I can restore no problem with vrestore -x or vrestore -xf /dev/tape/tape0
(or tape0_d1, d0 etc...)
But if I use vrestore -xf /dev/ntape/tape (tape0_d1, d0 etc.) it fails with
unable to open subset error.
If I mount the V5.1 CDROM on to /mnt and do a /mnt/sbin/vrestore -xf
/dev/ntape/tape0 this works fine. It appears that PK4 has broken the
vrestore command.
I have this logged with Compaq support here in the UK, perhaps they are
already aware, but just to warn everyone else.
Regards
Kevin Jones
