Help with 1000A not booting!

Hi...

 This morning, our Alpha 1000A server (4.0d) was down. Power cycling it produces
a beep error of 1-12-1234 (7 beeps) and the lcd readout shows "srom v1.4 f4".
The beeping comes right after srom v1.4 d5.

  No video or tty outputs either. Any ideas? I have tech support dispatched but
I thought I'd see on the list too....thanks in advance and Merry Christmas!
