Making Ctrl-c work

I am working on a Alpha GS320, 32 processors, 64GB memory running Tru64 5.1
PK3 ...... I am trying to figure out "how" to get the Ctrl-c key sequence
to work as a "break" key for scripts and programs in general. In other
words, if I run a script and I decide to kill it, I would like to do so with
the Ctrl-c instead of the Ctrl-z and then kill -9

Thank You,
Dennis Peacock
