Hi,

I've fixed the problem for now by removing the following interdependent
patches.

00226.00 - Fix for delayed AdvFS requests
00232.00 - temporary data logging
00494.00 - Fix for balance and rmvol
00653.00 - Security Related
00230.00 - Fix for POSIX Threads Lib

Not entirely sure which was causing the problem but things are working now
so I'm not complaining.

Joe

System is ES40 4x500, 4GB RAM, newly updated to V6 firmware and
Tru64 V5.1 PK1. Since the update one advfs file domain isn't behaving.
The domain is based on 36GB storageworks disks in the internal shelf.
The controller is the on-board Intraserver unit. Any attempts to write to
the
filesystem generates an I/O error. There are no disk errors logged anywhere.
Initially I thought the problem might be due to an additional disk in the
domain which was on another bus. Removing it fixed the domain temporarily
but now it doesn't seem to matter whether or not the disk is in or not.

There's nothing in messages or from Analyze to inidcate where the problem
might
be. It's currently 9:30pm Sunday and I'm about to try pulling PK1 to see if
it
makes a difference.

There is some urgency to get this fixed so any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.
