Hi,
We've got a 2 node DS20E cluster running 5.1A. The two nodes are connected
by memory channel, not private ethernet. However when the engineer was
building the cluster he initially thought we were using the ethernet
interconnect option....
Now we are having problems with the cluster. clu_check_config reports that
none of the 16 cluster dameons (aliasd, caad etc - everything) are running
on member "hostA-ics0" and member "hostB-ics0". However all these daemons are
clearing to be seen in the process list of both "hostA" and "hostB" ....
Also our /etc/hosts lists private IP addresses under the names hostA-ics0
and hostB-ics0
10.0.0.1 hostA-ics0
10.0.0.2 hostB-ics0
So... my question is this: Does memory channel use a private IP address
space like this? I would have thought not. Do the memory channel nodes
have a DNS name like this? Why would clu_check_config report these names
as members of the cluster, and not just the normal member names (without
"-ics0")
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
Paul
