Dear Managers,

How would change theX-windows display from 24 bit to
say 16 bit color on a Tru64 UNIX 5.1A system with a Powerstorm
4D51T.2.0.80.0xf _FB.0.0.71.13.100.4 TP.45.1_at_1Mx16
graphics card (output for sizer -gt: q00eb1091) ?

I am currently running at 1280x1024 at 24 bit color, I don't know
what screen refresh rate I am running at. (I am having problem with
displaying images in mozilla, and I would like to test other color visuals).

I have put the following linesin my /var/X11/Xserver.conf file

args <
! 4DXXT Server args start
        -pn -screen 1280x1024 -depth 16 -vsync 75
! 4DXXT Server args end
        -pn

After I restarted the X-server, I am still getting 24 bit colors.

Thank you for your help.

Regards,
