I have received six excellent replies. My thanks go to:
Rustam T. Usmanov <rustam_at_ruslan.ru>
Hannes Visagie <visagih_at_mtn.co.ug>
Colin Bull <c.bull_at_videonetworks.com>
Malek Shabou <Malek.Shabou_at_nic.fr>
Tarasyuk Nik <NTarasyuk_at_snowyhydro.com.au>
Udo de Boer <Udo.de.boer_at_ubero.nl>
Malek Shabou says that the odbc driver for postgresql downloaded from
ftp://ftp.postgresql.org/pub/odbc/versions works fine.
The others gave me a few links in the Internet which are at the bottom of
the post, before my original question.
Thanks again,
Irene

You can look at Openlink ODBC drivers. The fastest, most platforms, stable,
security options. Last was at www.openlinksw.com
Check if they support Postgres on Tru64/Osf. Use the multi tier driver.
They used to have a eval version {5 user}.

This bloke is always spamming the Informix newsgroup with Postgres crap, so
you might email him or go to his web site.

Take a look at Openlink. I think this is www.openlink.com. They make a
kind of universal ODBC for every kind of machine and/or database. And you
can even test drive everything.
