Hello,
I have a three member TruCluster consisting of two dual processor 4100's
and one quad processor GS80. They are running Tru64 v5.1 and TruCluster
v5.1, PK 3. I have attached a HSZ50 for system files, a HSG80 for database
files, and some FCAL disks, for buffering data.
Recently I noticed my BigBrother was no longer notifying me when my
directories exceeded the limits I set in BB. When I clicked on the green
button I was surprised to see only 8 advfs file systems listed in there. I
have around 70 advfs file systems in the cluster. I noticed that the problem
was with the command:
# df -kt advfs
When run on any member of the cluster it shows the same 8 advfs file
systems. Running:
# df -k
Shows all my file systems including the NFS ones. The reason I have BB
running the "-t" option is so that I'm not alerted on the wrong system if an
NFS directory exceeds my set limits. This was working for quite a while,
then just this week it stopped? I didn't install any, patches or upgrade any
software, basically I can't see any reason for this to suddenly stop
working.
My first thought was it might only be seeing advfs on one member. Of the
8 advfs's that show up, one is on Member3, another one is on Member2, five
are on Member1, and the last one is the individual boot_partition, which
shows as being mounted on which ever machine you run the command on. Also
each machine will display it's own boot_partition, but doesn't show the
other two.
Any ideas?

UNIX is very user friendly, It's just very particular about who it makes
friends with.
