I jhave T64 version 5.1 on my PWS500a ... and a new Oxygen VX1 card.
All i get iin CDE s a very ugly screen, reminiscent of a bad DOS
program.

I went thru the T-64 list and found some stuff that helped,
the

sizer -gt

comannd returns an answer

vga.

I went into the /usr/var/X11/Xserver.conf file and added the arguments
for TrueColor depth 24 and so on, also wrote in a fairly decent screen
resolution (1600x1200) in

/etc/dt/config/Xservers

but still don't get the GUI i should be getting. I am assuming the CDE
screen looks pretty much like the OSF1 screens on the old Alphas ...
only with somne extra funtionality.

The questiopn:

How do I get at least an SVGA level of performance? The CDrom manual
for TRU64 doesn't give you a hint about what to do ..

Was TRU64 supposed to autodetect the card on install or on boot? If so
what went wrong. If not, what do you do to get your Xserver configured
to the card?
