I got 2 quick responses. Thanks guys.

One said to expect support by the end of the year, the other said 2nd quarter 2002.

I won't give names just in case this was not supposed to be leaked.

====== Question below
Managers,

I just came across the MSA1000 (i.e. This is _not_ HSG-80 based). Apparently it is a relatively new product.

It looks like a nice, physically small, FC-based storage system with an optional built-in 6 port FC switch. It even supports 2 Gb/s FC ( the HSG-80 does not).

The quick spec only mentions Intel platforms being supported, but I can't think of any obvious reason this is true.

Does anyone know if the Alpha platforms will support it in the future. Specifically Tru64.

If it is not in the current roadmap and anyone from Compaq is listening, I vote to add support. For a small cluster it looks like it could be a nice compact shared storage solution.
