Having a rough day. An otherwise perfectly working DS20E was
brought down to test a bootable CD (a homemade NHD3 kit). Following
that test, which failed to boot (and hence nothing was installed), the
machine reported upon a power cycling that "kbd2 test failed" and then
began spewing a large memory dump to the console.
It was power cycled again, and has not come back online since.
We've swapped monitors, keyboards, all cables to no avail. We've
attached a VT to the serial port to no avail. The machine definitely
gets power, the halt key is not pressed, and it appears to read the
first disk. But the indicator lights by the power button (the four
yellow lights) do not flash, and we get no video whatsoever.
What broke? :(
Thanks as always for any insights!
