I've attempted to create two seperate copies of the NHD3 kit
for V4.0F, both with the same result. The CDs appear to create fine,
and I can read them in a Windows PC, or by mounting them on an
otherwise booted Tru64 machine.
The problem is that when I boot the Alpha with the CD, using
>>> boot -fl fax -fi GENERIC dqa0
It recognizes the boot block, begins to boot, and then gets
stuck prompting me to enter the name of the bootable kernel. Any
variaition on "GENERIC", "generic", "/GENERIC" all fail.
The CD was burned using Adaptec CD Creator, and I closed the
disk. If I just mount the CD on a tru64 machine, I can read the
GENERIC file just fine. Our goal here is to install a KXPCC-CE
controller into a DS20E.
Anyone else had this problem? Any help is appreciated!
