Hello Managers,
One of my systems is an XP1000 running Tru64 5.0. This morning I have
planned to upgrade it to 5.1a going through 5.0a.
Some strange things happened during the first attempt of the upgrade as
removal of /sbin/sh and /shlib/libc.so, but I've restored them and
started the upgrade again.
The upgrade seemed to be OK till the reboot.
Then I have some 55 messages as
ERROR wrong cdev /dev/disk/xxx is 1300016 sb 1300008
bcheckrc Device Naming failed boot configure or verify.
I've removed the files and issued a dsfmgr -K command but the result is
the same.
In single user the bcheckrc command gives :
# bcheckrc

....and the file systems are OK.
I run currenlty 5.0a on this system with genvmunix but before upgrading
to 5.1a , it could be a good idea to resolve this problem...
Some idea ?
Thank you in advance
