Hello Everyone:

Many thanks to all who quickly responded to my query in regards to the command line printing.

Thanks go to C. Chandra, E. LaBonte, P. Stern, Dr. T. Blinn, and S. Southwood.

SUMMARY:

My question pertained to printing certain page numbers of a document using the lpr command. I was told what I had unhappily suspected all along, which was that there is no way to print just certain parts of the document (in version 4.0f, build 1229) unless a script or some other form of file manipulation was used, such as tail, or sed.

I was also told that there were certain programs that could be added on that would allow printing, including mpage, a2ps, encript, etc. It was mentioned that in version 5.1A this was no longer a problem because the lpc command was able to handle printing of pages.

Thanks again to everyone for your kind assistance.
