In the /etc/passwd file some of the users (including myself) have
Nologin* in the second field, others have just an *. Does anyone know
how/why this is here. Can I change it to *? I have a program that
allows access based on the * being there, so it won't allow me access.
Thanks.
Yes, I am using C2/enhanced security and always have (no conversion
from base). I've removed the Nologin and everything is ok.
Still a little confused as to how this got set. Some of you say the
account is locked if this is present - not true. It is on my login and
I can login just fine. Another thought it was because it was created
with dxaccounts. All of the logins were created with dxaccounts.

administrative lock has been applied to the account. In version 4.0G and
4.0F the dxaccounts seems poor about removing this string.
Thanks for all of the responses!!
