HI!
I need a solution for the following setup.
Challenge: I need to setup a modem on a Dig UNIX server which is on a LAN.
The main reqt is that when a person dials into this server thru' this modem,
he should not be able to ping or telnet any other machine on this LAN
whereas with the same login id within the LAN he should be able to do that.
Suggested Solution: Configure the modem on serial port and assign a
different IP and subnet mask to the serial port (Different from LAN)
Problem: Will this solution be feasible? Has anyone tried
such a thing? If yes, please send the commands to do so.
