Strange "hang" of ES40 Cluster

Colleagues,

Twice of the last two months, two separate clusters have become
unresponsive.

Both are 2x ES40 Tru64 5.1 PK3 & TrusCluster 5.1 using HSZ70's

On both occasions, new login sessions (telnet) were not possible.

The "issue" screen displayed but the login prompt never appeared.

Those use sessions which were current continued and could issue

Simple commands such as df but if the tried to su then the password

Prompt never appeared.

Only resort was to power down and reboot. Upon reboot the second

Node crashed with "cfs_do_pfs_mount: pfs and cfs fsids differ on failover"

Both rebooted successfully and I am left wondering, any ideas?

PS All servers are running multiple single instance Progress database
applications under CAA.

Kind regards
