[Summary] flock() question

The file descriptor "0" is just stdin.

Hi Gurus,
I'm trying to debug some peace of code via a 'truss' (no access to the source
code). And I see lot of:
flock(0, 0);
Seems that they are blocking!
Any idea? Which file has "0" as file-descriptor?
