>From Dr. Thomas P. Blinn :
You need to use "rm -rf" on the /etc/fdmns/<mydomain> to remove the
directory and all of its contents (instead of rm -f ... as I wrote)
The rest of the solution was :
xcr0 is a KZPAC SCSI RAID controller. My guess is that the RAID controller
still thinks there is a 4 GB harddisk on unit 4.
You may first need to change this harddisk in the configuration of the
controller.
This can be done by starting the arc console ( 'arc' at the SRM prompt ).
>From there you should find 'run a program', and start 'A:RA200RCU'.
( You need to place the diskette containing the configuration utility
in the drive first ;-) )
With this utility, I could change the status of the disk from 'FLD' to 'OPT'
and then the unit status became online and I could continue the settings in
Unix with the commands :
disklabel -rw dsk4 SWXCR
mkfdmn /dev/disk/dsk4c dbtest2_domain
mkfset dbtest2_domain dbtest2
mount -t advfs dbtest2_domain#dbtest2 /dbtest2
But, Lavelle, Bryan mentioned : However, 18GB drives aren't supported on
SWXCRs, 9GB is the maximum. This may also be contributing to your problem.
And in fact, my new domain dbtest2 has only 4GB (instead of 18GB).
Is there a way to change that or is really not supported by the controller ?
Thanks again,
Michel
