Hi ,
Here I am getting a warning message while opening dxkeyboard and pressing "edit keycaps" in keyboard options.my default keyboard is coming as US_english with pcxal type.same warning is coming if I use command dxkeycaps.
Loading keyboard pcxal (American) with keymap /usr/lib/X11/xkb/keymap/digital_us...
Warning: Cannot convert string "-*-*-medium-r-normal--18-140-*-*-*-*-8" to type FontStruct
Warning: Cannot convert string "-*-*-medium-*-*-*-20-*-*-*-*-*-tis620.2533-*" to type FontStruct
After pressing edit keycaps following message is coming.
No map named "pcxal (american)" in "/usr/lib/X11/xkb/keymap/digital_us"
Can not load keyboard "pcxal (american)" with "/usr/lib/X11/xkb/keymap/digital_us".
But I verified the entry of pcxal in the above path.
I was able find it as "pcxal" entry...notexactly "pcxal (american)".
Please guide me what should I do to get rid of this message.
Do I need to set keyboard language type to "set language 38" which is suggested by the follwing link of unix support home page .
