A brilliant response once again.

The general consensus is that they work just fine.
There may be some changes to /etc/ddr.dbase but the LTO supplier
should be able to provide the details. There were several bits of advice
about things to watch for when connected via fibre bridges (FC-TC or MDR),
but my question was more in relation to direct attach.

Many thanks

Does anyone have any experience of using LTO tape drives with Tru64 unix ?

Compaq does not have its own LTO drives hence I would not expect to see one
listed as supported in the Tru64 Software Product Description, but I
wondered if anyone had experimented with one.

Many Thanks
