Restore /usr/bin

A student accidently removed /usr/bin, or most of it anyways, trying to
update symlinks for a new version of JDK.(don't ask) The tape drive that
was used for the backups is kaput as of last weekend.(perfect timing) Is
there a way to recover the /usr/bin executables that came with the original
installation from the installation media? I just want to insure a
reasonable level of functionality until the recovery from tape can be made.

Thanks!
