hi folks. unfortunately, nobody gave me the solution, but Shaukat Riaz
showed me the path... thanks for all the answers about ntp, but I canīt use
it here...

the solution was:
- edit the /etc/networks file: add the network name (I used the serverīs
hostname) and the network number (I used the serverīs IP adress)
- run rdate -s command: # rdate -s <network_name>

Lucio, maybe this could substitute your fortran scripts...

thanks again!

hi managers!
does anyone know how to use rdate to synchronize the system date? I need to
synchronize with only one server, not the network...
we have almost 300 solaris, and we use rdate to synchronize them with on
server, that is synchronized with our tandem. if the rdate is not the best
way to do it, can you please tell me what to do?
thanks in advance!
