SUMMARY: Not seeing CDROM device

Hi Managers

Thanks to all who responded!!!!

The problem was that the CDROM drive failed. It wasn't used for the last 6
months until now so it died while sleeping.

I simply got another one, set the jumpers as the previous one, plugged it in
and powered on the machine - presto! it's there now.
